Bullets need K12 million for Sudan game

Bullets FC would need at least K12 million to travel to Sudan to face Al Hilal in the first leg of the first round of CAF Club champions league.

The Peoples Team General Secretary Harold Fote said the money cover air travel costs for a 26-member delegation.

Fote said they were not worried because a bigger chunk of the money would be covered from the Saturday game against  Fomboni in which they are expecting nothing short of K20 million.

He said they would only be worried with meeting costs of food and accommodation in Sudan as well as players external allowances.

The General Secretary shifted the blame for Bullets trustees for suspending the head of marketing Dan Mbebuwa who was entrusted with the responsibility of raising at K30 million through the marketing of the game.

“We should been able to get the K30 million as planned but the trustees decision to suspend Mbebuwa also affected the initiatve,” Fote said.

But the team’s never-ending tug of war between the executive committee and trustees of the administration of the team was at it again when trustees James Busile trashed the allegations.

“If at all there were deals by that time they should have been finalized. They should try to find scapegoat,” Busile said.

Bullets beat Fomboni to progress to the next round 3-2 on aggregate after a two-all draw at Kamuzu Stadium.

Bullets wasted a two-goal cushion to let the visitors crawl back and threaten Bullets from progressing in the competition.

Kondie Msingama is likely to be a poor mathematician or he is a trickster who steal in broad day light. I mean how does he come up with figures for CAF? Who is his accoutatant? Shame on you Kondie. He estimated 30 meter for the trip to Comoros. Now he is estimating only 12 million for a trip to Sudan. I expected him to mention around 100 million. Unfortunately if you give them 12 million what you hear tomorrow will be that the guys have left by bus as they will board a plane in Uganda.Dribbling of this kind can… Read more »
