Bullets supporters issuing death threats to Chande: Wanderers complaint to FA Malawi

Supporters of Nyasa Big Bullets are reportedly visiting the house of their former player Jaffalie Chande every night to threaten his life following his departure to join rivals Mighty Be Forward Wanderers, the blues have complained to Football Association of Malawi.

Wanderers’ secretary general Mike Butao in a letter addressed to FAM secretary general Suzgho Nyirenda, he claims Bullets supporters are visiting Chande’s house “every morning and evening issuing threats.”

He also said Police have summoned the player three times without formally charging him.

“Since when did changing teams become a crime?” said Butao.

Butao wondered “on whose instructions are Police summoning the player? Should Bullets be allowed to be bigger than the laws governing our game?”

But Bullets supporters chairperson Stone Mwamadi has denied allegations that the Peoples Team fans are threatening Chande.

“To us Chande is no longer an issue. We wish him well in his new life at Wanderers but we want procedures of his transfer to be followed,” said Mwamadi

Two contracts emerged at the Chande’s preliminary hearing according to FAM) transfer matching systems manager Casper Jangale.

Chande produced a copy of a one and a half year contract which shows that he became a free agent on February 13 and allegedly came into effect on August 14 2014.

On the other hand, the People’s Team produced a contract which shows that Chande has a running three-year contract until August 2017.

Chande insisted that his contract was genuine.

“This was a document that I signed with Bullets when I joined them from Epac in 2014 and [Harold] Fote, who was the GS then, signed it on behalf of the club, as for the other one, I am not aware,” said Chande.

Wanderers wanted to buy out Chande’s contract at K700 000 (about $1 100)  but Bullets have refused.

A Ndakwiyananu ndi amend mukuonetsa umbuli APA? Kuba player ndi kutani? Let’s wait and see who forged a contract between Jaffalie and the club. Harold Fote will tie the loose ends, mungoti phee… After all it won’t be new as bullets is known to have capability to forge contracts or even players’ signatures. The bottom line is that Nyasa Bullets has been hit hard by Chande’s departure and the realization that he will be donning their rivals colours is the worst they can imagine. Let their be no strife between Bullets and Chande for his heart belongs to Wanderers. Players have… Read more »

Big Bullets supporters are the same DPP thugs who wield pangas in broad day light, so what they are doing to Chande is not suprising at all.

Just get security personnel to guard Jaffali Chande and once you catch those who are threatening him, deal with them. Mob justice basi!

EDUCATED SAVAGES What are the Transfer Procedures? If Team A wants a Player From Team B, Team A is supposed to consult Team B to know more about the player’s contractual agreement before making any Formal Approach on the Player. If team A wants to buy the Player they must consult The Parent Club about the availability of the Player & seek permision from the parent club to talk to the Player. But what is happening here in Malawi is different, the problem is FAM/ SULOM as well as CLUBS. YOU CALL YOURSELF EDUCATED BUT IN REAL SENSE YOU’RE EDUCATED… Read more »
