Bullets trip cost could rise: Held up in Tanzania

It never rains but pours for Bullets following their latest twist  in their unfolding drama in the CAF Champions League.

ORRY
Msungama: We will not be stranded

Bullets, who had planned to leave for Comoros Island, on Tuesday for their first leg preliminary round game against Comoros Island’s Fomboni FC would be delayed after failing to confirm their flights.

The club  Chairpesron  Kondi Msungama disclosed to that the hitches were caused by the secretariat’s failure to confirm the bookings.

“There was a lapse on the part of the secretariat in that they did not confirm Tuesday’s flight and the next flight is on Wednesday which has a seating capacity of 25 seats. It means about four or five members of the delegation could be left behind in Dar-es-Salaam,” Msungama said.

But the ever optimistic administrator downplayed the hiccup saying the team could not be stranded.

“The team will not be stranded. We will just have to extend our bookings in Dar-es-Salaam from a day to three if need be,” he said without committing on the financial implications of the situation.

In related development Bullets’s versatile lefback Douglas Chirambo has not made the trip after he was attacked by a bout of malaria.

The former Dwasco player is battling with malaria at Thyolo District Hospital.

“They registered me for CAF but due to the illness I have not travelled with the team,” Chirambo said. “But I wish them all the best and hope they will win the game.”

Bullets face Fomboni on Sunday with the return leg expected to be played in two weeks’ time.

sheet comments,do you mean that 25 seats can not carry a team to Comoros? 25 players were registered,2 players were left, which means 22 players 1 coach 1 goalkeeper trainer 1 team doctor its ok. the manager can pay retain tickets and stay in TZ with one striker and the other derigation, food and acommodation is provided by the host so what is the problem here? always to the negative thats why malawians we are very poor we don’t take risks our football is rubbish bcause of people of negative mind like you!!!!
