Clinical officer Harris Chilale and the so-called investigative journalist, Collins Mtika cannot be reliable informants on this story. Both are disgruntled former employees of St John of God. Chilare as a long-term saving clinical officer was very ambitious. In his grandiose delusions Chilare believed was the bonafide successor of Brother Aiden as Director. He used to be so envious and insecure of capable and young talent employed by the institution then. He used to ill-treat and frustrate young talent. He thwarted their career progression. The guy talks a lot to impress but devoid of technical substance He has a reputation… Read more »

Gone though the article. There is no story, no issues here. Collins have you ever contributed to the change of any vulnerable children in your life? Can any one child or street child point at you as somebody who ever brought change in his/her life? This man you whose image u want to tarnish for the sake of money has given new lease of life to hundreds of children u used to despise in the streets. Shame.

The Order in the 1980 agreed that Br Aidan would not have any dealings with Children in Ireland . When Irish Safeguarding group found out he was returned to Ireland and has no dealings with Children and a Vatican investigation is being Carried out

Bodza ili , I know this Bro long time , I grew up in Mzuzu and I was always at the church, I used to be at the church and I was aware of every activity happening there, If the reporter wants to make money then he should learn to do proper work and not this , otherwise you get a curse from God

I have known bro Aiden since 1996 as missionary I was never close to him but was always s watching him from afar , He is a very humble brother with a passion to help children. Some children are in good positions because of his silent work to assist the needy. he could help from fees, clothing, teaching and just his character taught many a lot.

So please leave this generous man alone. where were you all this while to say that now!

How do people raise money in Europe? This is just one of the ways of doing it. Our culture allow us to walk hand in hand. In Europe you can not do that. You will be accused of child abuse if you even reprimand a minor. How many of us have forced a naughty son wash while we are there with a stick to beat them? In Europe that is a crime. Here in Malawi we call it disciplining the child. In Europe do not touch a child unless you are accused of child abuse. Bro Aidan, fwasani waka adada… Read more »

I happen to have worked in the umoza program. My understanding of the story is that abuses happened in items and not Malawi. I honestly think that it is not right for MAsulani to make such a comment, if indeed he made it. It was enough to say that in MAlawi we did not know, and there are so far no complaints against Aiden. Where does the Mafia thing come from. MAsulani is not a Catholic brother for him to want to share all the secrets or information of the order. It is therefore childish to make such a generalised… Read more »

Br Aidan did a lot for the children. Hate feeling and speech coming from Ireland is not welcome. He was a lovely man. He supported thousands of street children. Mr Collins Mtika, hmmmmmm you do not know the plight of street children, you do not know what it means to suffer, you do not know what it means to find a lovely person who can put food on your table etc. Some of these street boys have good jobs now. Hmmmmmmmmm hate feelings against some individuals will lead us nowhere.
