Nice to see Mr Chakwera tour the disaster zone. These are traits of a good leader. Not just sitting phwii getting fat at Kamuzu Palace at a time when people need you the most. But let this be a moment of reflection too. These problems will only get worse and a real headache for foture governments. Much as appreciate Chakwera’s visit, I feel the government has responded positively by assessing the extent of the damage so that humanitarian aid can be given to the affected families. Even Chakwera is appealing to Malawians and neighbours to the affected to support the affected families as the government alone can’t shoulder everything. This shows that he acknowledgesaid that government has taken a positive step
