Can the party just focus on drafting a robust manifesto, developmental policies and action plans. Theres just too much focus on electing leadership and fighting for positions versus doing the real job…….that of being people-focused. Malawians are just tired of politics of the stomach and patronage. Please transform the party into a modern people-centric party with pro-poor policies.
I do not agree with Mr or Mrs Chothandizira. The amendment has just brought sanity into the party and not dictatorship. People ho confuse the party must face discipline. Just imagine, Richard Msowoya was in Karonga with Mr Chilima instead o helping his party at he convention. How do you instill Oder in such situations? You need rules to direct you. Moreover it is the NEC that will do that.

Amendments are necessary indeed. No grouping needs to suffer internal distabilzation caused by traitors, double dealers and sell- outs. Discipline, honesty and unity are necessary components to achieve organizational goals or even individual goals in this life. But when invoking these severe punitive clauses, remember to rules of natural justice. And reserve the worst punishments to the worst offenders who are beyond redemption.
