But you should be aware that is their primary reason for appearing to support Mr Chaponda; not necessarily because he’s a homeboy or because of religious or political affiliations, as you put it. One of the benefits of the judicial system operating in a democracy, in contrast to pre-1994 Kamuzu and MPs dictatorship, is the zero to minimum tolerance of political interference. It’s very pathetic and disheartening for our poor Malawi. Hearing this makes me feel very sick. It’s mostly in Africa and particularly this poor country called Malawi that people can cheer at this utter nonsense done by the courts. Whilst you are 100% right in your analysis hence your well placed anger; you must remember that 90% of our population is uneducated (though paper-educated) with no critical thinking skills.
