Zomba-based golfer Charles Mukiwa and Carol Banda of Blantyre Sports Club have won the Mulanje Golf tournament in the men’s and women category respectively sponsored by the country’s Premier mobile network and ICT provider TNM under the auspices of TNM Business Services (TBS), the company’s division that offers broadband internet services.
In men category, Mukiwa scored 45 points while Steve Chisale came second with 42 points.
In an interview, Mukiwa who also won the 2016 TNM tournament at Gymkhana in Zomba , thanked TNM for the sponsorship of Golf tournament in Mulanje.
“I would like to thank TNM for sponsoring this tournament which attracted a number of golfers across the country. This is my second win this year after the Zomba golf where I scored 47 points and I’m very happy,” said Mukiwa.
In ladies category, Banda scored 41 points while runner-up Beatrice Mwangwana scored 34 points.
TNM Chief Commercial Officer Daniel Makata said the company was satisfied with the turn up of golfers in Mulanje’s tournament.
