If a child is poor for sure the parent or guardian is also poor. Now this type of analysis where by you discuss child poverty then mother poverty and grandparent poverty and then father poverty doesn’t make sense at all. If Malawi is poor it is everybody and not one group only.

Our President’s boast that he is developing the country, stabilizing the economy and fulfilling the DPP manifesto of 2014 does not sit right with this report. A very small section of the population may be better off, but the majority of Malawians are really struggling and this affects our children who are the future. The President’s actions need to match his fine words; we desperately need to see evidence of real change for the better.
