Ignore UTM at your own peril. A well of votes is sitting in the rural areas so urban thinking doesn’t really matter so is educated mind. Malawi has a wealth of 70% of its population which is uneducated, poor and unsophisticated but with power to vote just like anyone else. There lis the problem with Malawi politics. Those in the urban areas can scream all they want and criticise UTM or DPP all they want but at the day votes count; and this is where DPP is great at harvesting and so will UTM going forward.

I think people are overpraising him. Political life by its nature attracts a high percentage of crooks and scoundrels and he just one of them. No one would go to a beautiful woman for courtship and claim to be poor and as Chilima is courting for our votes he will say very pleasing things but yet he knows he wont fulfill them. He told us he will be naming names yet he is full of parables. Come on guys we are not here to hear about the parable of the sewer again as told by Jesus so that we should… Read more »

To win votes political leaders need to package their messages to resonate with the electorate, finish! I am yet to come across a politician whose hands are clean and if there are; they would be called priests. Ndala is ndale and means kutchela. The smarter you are at hoodwinking the electorate with rhetoric the more votes they get and if this is via making empty promises then be it. If the people aren’t satisfied with delivery they have the option to impeach or vote them out; it’s called constitutional democracy. Chilima or Peter isn’t forcing anyone to vote for by… Read more »

HOW GREAT YOU ARE CHILIMA!!!!!!!!! You delivered wonderful speech to our brothers and sisters.Chilima time has come to build a new Malawi for our children, their children and the generations to come.Leaving our country into the hands of vagabonds and thieves, means we have failed our people.Malawi could be very far ahead of Many countries in Africa but, astonishingly, we are far behind many countries.Just let me give you a good instance,We got independence almost the same time with BOTSWANA,but our brothers and sisters there, are well a head us,aren’t we ashamed of that? The tribalistic war in RWANDA in 1994,destroyed everything, but today,Rwanda, is… Read more »

Only GOD can bring the change in Malawi already the change started happening some time back but because we are blind we are not able to see, things are changing in MALAWI right now,,,,, CHILIMA as CHILIMA cannot bring any change and I repeat he can not – look at his team it is a shame. If he is failing to tell you HOW he is going to create the 1 million jobs, and if he is even failing to tell you how he is gonna improve the power problem, let me tell you my fellow Malawians talking and doing… Read more »

This was a show for UTM Drama Group. Chilima played presidents, Kaliyati played general secretary and many others. It’s just a movement – a group of protestors or demonstrators against the government. It’s all acting please do not take them seriously. Remember it’s just a movement – no real agenda, no real cause and its for anyone to lead their way!

I WAS DEEPLY TOUCHED WITH THE MJULA MKANDAWIRE SONG, THE PROPOSED ABOLITION OF QUOTA SYSTEM OF SELCTING UNIVERSITY STUDENTS INTO PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES AND DESIRE TO RESOLVE LAND ISSUES IN THYOLO AND MULANJE.

Chilima is promising too much too soon. Getting the crowd behind him is one thing, delivering on all his promises is quite another. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.
