A candidate or running mate who needs alot justification or interpretation is not a good sign. Chilima-Usi ticket is theoretically strong and decent. In practice, it won’t yield much. Usi is a very solid candidate. Unfortunately, UTM have 3 months to delete Manganya from people’s minds and replace him with Usi before elections. Drama of Manganya’s kind is a difficult art to associate with a serious state presidential candidacy. Citing other artistic politicians in Malawi and elsewhere is a mistake.
