ChurchBoy Thapra to drop debut music video, ‘Made in Malawi’
Blantyre based upcoming urban gospel artist known by his stage name, ChurchBoy Thapra, is set to drop his first ever music video titled ‘Made in Malawi’ on April 23, 2022.
The song for the forthcoming music video has been taken out from the Extended Play (EP) titled ‘For God’s glory only’, which ChurchBoy Thapra released in the year 2020.
In an interview, ChurchBoy Thapra, whose real name is Thapelo Kumbuka Banda, said the concept of the song for the upcoming music video is the revelation, which God showed him.
“The song for my forthcoming music video is a revelation which God showed me before the second elections we had in 2020, it emphasized that as Malawians we need to come together as one to stand and fight for our country.
“When I was recording the song for the music video I did not understand about the prophecy until that it came to pass where we had different political parties coming together and competing to form a new government,” ChurchBoy Thapra said.
He added that, the inspiration behind the new music video is also the book titled ‘The Jesus Nation’, written by Prophet Shepherd Bushiri founder of Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) Jesus Nation church which talks about how God is raising 7 prophets who will take over the systems of the earth and establish God’s kingdom.
He therefore revealed that, he has invested over K1 million in production of the music video and he said that the music video is now ready to be released.
“The project of the music video started last year 2021 in June and was finished in February 2022, we travelled around Malawi with my team in different location, finding best videographer, best dancers as well as
best hotels.
“At the moment, the music video is ready to be released and I have spent over K1 million just to make the music video to be on point,” he said.
The musician, who is a member of ECG Jesus Nation Church, said his new music video is mainly dedicated to his fans, family and the church.
“To my fans, family and my church ECG the Jesus Nation, the upcoming music video is for you and you should believe and trust in me as I take you through my Prophetic journey in making the name of Jesus Christ famous above all names,” he explained.
“According to him, the song will be available on You Tube and other online music platforms once it is out, he also said that the public can contact him on both Facebook and Instagram through username: ‘ChurchBoy Thapra’ for more details about the impending music video.
