Who Will invest in a country where u have to pay bribe to a minister? They even ask for it? This is why u have only Asians/Indians investing. Because Indians pay bribe.
Truth is always not good to be told & you make a lot of enemies by just saying the truth. Is this guy lying????? The answer is a fat NO. We need to be very objective when reporting about the issue of investors. Corruption alone as the main reason in the story can not hinder investors to invest in a country. Nigeria, DRC, Kenya, Angola, Mozambique just to name a few are countries with a high record on corruption yet have a high record of investors than Malawi. Whilst these countries are fighting corruption just as good as Malawi whether on paper or physical, the difference is what investors are investing for. During one party MCP dictatorship, corruption was at its minimum.Should we say rampant corruption is the price Malawians have paid to gain democracy? May be its time for Malawi to go back to the drawing board to draft a new system of government that is both democratic and corruption free.This multi party system we adopted in 1994 after the referendum is not going to help us.
