Firstly, the police act should not have affected the sentencing. These women should have served their ten year jail term. If anything, the women should have commenced separate legal action against the police and since police were on duty, the women could have been compensated accordingly. There was no need to mix up the two issues. The judge erroed to reduce the sentence. These women acted like animals. The concerned woman should have dealt with the husband, not beating fellow woman like that. If I were the husband, I would marry the beaten woman.

Those heartless women have been rightly served. Shame on them. Go and rot in jail. I don’t pity them. Azimai osavuka

The officers can not be charged, they were simply showing these women what it is like, to torture someone. Police did right thing by me. Wasted years, the time you come out, mutaluza zambiri. You are not condemned. Get reformed.
