The analogy that since a president and his/her vice were elected on a joint ticket hence the vice can’t be fired wont make sense to me until if the president can be impeached together with the vice since they were elected jointly.

You should also include abolishing office the first and second vice presidents. They are not only very costly, controversial and useless in Malawi alone but many other African states including South Africa where two presidents have been betrayed by their deputies: Mbeki by Zuma and Zuma by Ramaphosa. The main reason why this office doesn’t and will not work in this country is tribal/regionalism. The impeaching process is just long and time-consuming. In any case one needs the support of at least 128 MPs to succeed. Currently there are just too many MPs scared to cast a vote against Peter Mutharika. The best thing CSOs can do is to educate and mobilise rural electorate to vote appropriately to avoid another cashgate on steroids in the next 5-6 years. Impeaching just like demos are a waste of time in Malawi.

The call for impeaching the President is timely. Also INCLUDE THE NEED FOR THE PRESIDENT TO EXPLAIN HOW THE SUM OF MK437MILLION WAS FURTHER DEPOSITED BY PIONEER INVESTMENT INTO PERSONAL ACCOUNT OF THE PRESIDENT AS PART OF THE MK900MILLION CHEQUE FROM MACRA WHILST AT THE SAME TIME MK2..1BILLION FROM TEVETA WAS ALSO DEPOSITED INTO THE SAME ACCOUNT.

ALSO ASK HIM HOW HIS FORMER ASSISTANT BEN PHIRI AT FDH HAS A BALANCE OF MK900MILLION AND AT STANDARD BANK HAS MK4.00 BILLION WHILST THAT AT STANDARD BANK HAS A BALANCE OF MK437MILLION.
