I stand to be corrected considering that VLAPs are supposed to be a consultative process where chiefs, CSOs and all that matter in society are engaged. So I find nothing wrong with chiefs complaining on their non involvement in the whole process. Let’s not politicise this straight forward issue……Let’s leave out JZU Tembo in this development related issue. I second the to one suggesting that DCs should be from the same district and not elsewhere…..
Chiefs are appointed civil servants, not elected officials. So they have no mandate from the electorate, and they should stay out of policy decisions. It was correct to not involve the chiefs in the deliberations.
