Defectors welcomed in DPP, says SG Jefrey wa Jeffrey

Ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) says some leaders are a stumbling block to those who want to join the party ahead of the 2019 elections.

Jeff wa Jeff: DPP secretary general says party leaders should leave door open for defectors

Party secretary general Grazider Jefrey wa Jeffrey  has since asked party leaders to leave the party door open for political defectors.

She was speaking in Kasungu on Sunday when the party held a rally.

“We can only win if we have as many defectors as possible. Winning an election is a matter of numbers,” she said.

Jefrey said she is aware that some party leaders do not want defectors for some reasons best known to them.

The DPP is on a campaign to rebuild the party whose government is facing image problems because of the government failure to fix the economy, corruption and theft of public money.

Watch carefully. You will not see any MCP member defecting to DPP. If anything it is PP members who, by the way, are in truth UDF or ex DPP, also UDF in disguise. This lot has nothing to offer Malawians except massive looting of taxpayers through dubious procurement processes. Therefore, anyone joining or rejoining DPP is a thief by nature just like Jeffrey is. I am sure Malawians remember

Those that have returned are also thieves. They believe that since Chaponda has not been arrested after being found with so much money in stashed in suitcases in his house, they will never be arrested if they commit a similar offence. Sakuziwani ndani? I will Gambia for a billion years.
