Josiah was ushered into the position during the function held at Cross Roads hotel in Lilongwe
which was president by State Vice president Saulos Chilima.

Speaking to Nyasa Times after the appointment, Josiah said his first mission is to help the party to
gain full support in the central region which is highly dominated by opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP.)

“DPP will make inroads in the central region. We will mobilise many people to join the DPP,” he said.

He also said his focus will be to help DPP win more parliamentary seats in the central region.

Vice President  Chilima urged all party followers to support Josiah in his work as they now have huge task in rebuilding the party in the region in readiness for 2019 general elections.

Kudontoni was appointed secretary general after Dr Jean Kalilani was stripped the post and made party advisor.

Shame Mr Josiah, you will not manage it, ask UDF,PP… Read more »
