We are told fish species in Lake Nyasa/Lake Malawi will dwindle in near futue. It is not false,it is prophesy. This is a warning sign and Muthalika must halt thinking of putting rigs in our lake.Malawians,Tanzanians and Mozambicans all rely on the lake for fish which have been our source of food since time immemorial.History shows that oil resources from the sea or lakes, have not uplifted Africa’s economic monetary standards apart from government leaders and their closest friends and members of elite families.Muthalika, live alone our Lake and it has been quite from your side pertaining to the oil-rigging business.STOP THIS MADNESS!!!!!!!!!!

By 2050 the population of Malawi will be slightly above 50 million; the fish population in Lake Malawi will have halved in the same period. If Malawi continues to be cursed with uncaring political parties as in the past 50 years (by 2050 Malawi will have had 8 general elections) then Malawi will have no fish in the lake as it would have been heavily polluted with oil due to irresponsible (oil) drilling.

Let’s be serious, we need to control the use of fishing nets , all the illegal fishing nets should be stopped immediately by confiscating them before it’s too late.
