(Rudo) first I question your faith- you quoted good verses with wrong application, The knowledge of God differs with the knowledge of the world, you can’t digest the Bible because you are a scholar, even Bible Scholars in some attempts have failed to do son because is an inspiration of God. Am always surprised when people like you tend to be wise and teach people through the Bible which you can’t even apply in your Life and do the right things. If you were wise, you would have just pray seeking God’s intervention that people shouldn’t go into the streets,… Read more »

For once I totally disagree with you Rudo Tariro. It is right and proper for Christians to stand up and oppose when things are going wrong. Jesus came to show us the light. Why are you still living in darkness.

What matters most is to be led by the Holy Spirit in whatever we do, be it prayer, writing, teaching, marching, making and passing laws, governing, relationships, work, and in all things we think, speak, and plan to do. For example, when Jesus marched with the multitudes during His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, He was led by the Holy Spirit! May the good Lord lead us as we all endeavour to save our nation Malawi from the clutches of the evil one. May He lead us (our whole Spirits, Souls, and Body) into every battle and for the good of… Read more »

Great article with a philosophical argument which many bigoted people cannot understand. Women and girls have been aborting pregnancies without the bill, why haven’t churches stopped them. The bill is trying to provide safe abortion to women and girls and therefore churches should stop bringing doctrines and reciting verses. Churches are patriarchal institutions led by hypocritical and selfish men, most of them who are cruel at heart and who continue to ran away from pregnancies and who abandon children. There are so many children without fathers, some who don’t know their fathers at all and so many fathers who do… Read more »

The church, as a constituent of legit citizens has every right to express its considered opinion and lobby policy makers. Moralizing legality is however a sliperly slope. For all intents and purposes, legality is positive and not normative. That is, it is socially constructed. In that sense, it is secular and traverses the plurality of world views and religious beliefs prevalent in a state. Further, Malawi is a liberal democracy and not a theocracy. Government’s principal role is to create conditions for orderly rule whilst balancing individual rights and popular sovereignty. Moralizing legality quickly descends into a debate over why… Read more »

The writer of this article has written it passionately based on the light he/she has on his christian journey and we can only excuse him/her on this basis for being in darkness still. The problem amongst the fold is that we do not yearn to know the truth even if it is plainly presented to us. What he/she has gotten totally wrong is where he/she insinuates that a demo can be a mark of the beast. Like it or not, the mark (sign) of the beast in Revelation 13:17 is Sunday worship which is a false sabbath set up by… Read more »

Nonsensical article! I am 100% percent sure the one who wrote this useless piece is a Seventh Day Adventist or a Jehova’s Witness member! These are useless sects of Christianity who “distance” themselves from issues of government and governance! Thats why Kamuzu condemned them and called them “The Devil’s Witnesses”! How does one become Anti-Christ by demonstrating against that which is evil? Listen to Kamuzu’s speech against these on youtube on this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQnWaL1g5So

O…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………O When I saw the title of the article, I expected/thought that you (Rudo) would logically argue how these demonstrations are a mark of the anti-Christ. But I can promise you that you have miserably failed to do it. . . . Notwithstanding your failure to argue your title, when the Parliamentarians supported and passed the Bill, did you take the trouble to call them anti-Christ? . . . What then might have motivated you to call those people who are against the bill as anti-Christ? Cant you see that you are not making any kilobyte of sense here? .… Read more »

I agree with you the analyst. Rudo has failed to put across real points to substantiate his arguments.
