I’m 100% sure that the honorable Minster has a noble intention, but I want him to keep in mind that” half a loaf is better than no bread” give learners the alternative as quick as possible.

Shutting down these schools will achieve nothing of worth. All it will do is leave hundreds, thousands of learners with no access to education. Inspect these schools, and if they are failing, give them time and support to improve the situation. If they still fail on re-inspection, then consider parachuting new headteachers, principals in to improve matters. Why doesn’t the government think through their policies?

WHY GOING BACK TO SOMETHING THAT FAILED NANUNSO A FABIANO? CLOSING SUBSTANDARD SCHOOLS IS A GOOD MOVE BUT BE READY TO SHOULDER THE STUDENTS THAT WILL HAVE NOWHERE TO GO. MALAWI GOVERNMENT IS TOO GOOD AT DECONSTRUCTING THAN CONSTRUCTING.
