Actually the odds of a man named Elephant being killed by an elephant are not all that great. Most people living around the vicinity of wildlife parks have nicknames like Elephant, Lion, Rhino etc ( Ndine Njobvu amuna-muna! Ndine Mkango opanda mantha…Ndine Msato etc etc -You get the drift?) These people get these nicknames -which eventually become their de facto names – because of their daring in venturing into the parks for poaching, firewood gathering etc. Therefore the probability of a man named Elephant being killed by an elephant is quite small actually.
