Any armed robbery or crime is a potential threat to national security – especially when the security agents (army or police) are involved and are using official guns. If our govt is serious, they need to take this seriuously. If you cannot control your boys, can you seriously prevent a Coup?
I want to agree with the possible link of too many (unregulated) refugees & the increasing crime levels in Mlw. Mlw is the only country on earth that allows these refugees to literaly do what they want. Some of them ex-soldiers, hardcore criminals, terorists, al-queda, al-shabab, boko haram (wth lots of £ and $) are acquiring assets: land, houses, registering companies, etc. And we watch as our resources are being siphoned to Pakistan, Rwanda, Burundi, Nigeria, etc. Our children (many of them less educated for obvious reasons) are slowly becoming tenants or slaves to foreign nationals. WE are living in a failed state. A country where the president has become an absentee whore master who is only interested in collecting his salary and allowances. He needs to come out and address Malawians or better yet parliament on the state of security and economy in this country. The prime minister can not be left alone to be giving political advice for which he is not an expert. Address the causes of the security lapse in this country.
