If the motive is to promote tribalism then it’s unfortunate. You have cited so many benefits your region will gain in a post federalism era. You forgot that cities like Blantyre and Lilongwe will be disconjested when your people relocate to Mzuzu, the universities in the South, centre and eastern region will be disconjested too. There will be more jobs in those regions as people from your region will require work permits which will not be granted. This is the way to go! Revive AFORD, and give all parliamentary seats in the North to the mighty Northern party and surely our politicians will regain their respect. Borrow a political leaf from the Lhomwes and DPP: no party can win a seat in Thyolo, Mulanje or Phalombe unless its DPP!

I am impressed with the revamping of Afford is going on. That said, I would like to think the party is positioning itself for stronger bargaining should it decide to team up with another party in the forthcoming elections because, as the saying goes, politics is a game of numbers.
