The bank is not happy with Walter. He has been in power since the Standard Bank Cup was introduced. They have seen that it is time for change. For sure I know that sponsorship will be back once this FAM boss leave this position to another man.

Much as we know that leadership is not for life, so too is sponsorship. Look for other means and move forward.

Standard Bank are you serious you are pulling out because of the current economic enviroment? Come end of year profits you will inform the poor people of Malawi that you have made billions in after yax profits. The same football fratenity is the same customer who you reap from what you were giving FAM as Standand Bank Cup is and was peanuts compared to the astronomical profits you post in newspapers. Go to hell with you hypocrites

The problem with Malawian football fans is that they consider football sponsorship as charity and do not make deliberate attempts to reward the sponsoring company in terms of support FAM itself and clubs are to blame for this state of affairs as they don’t encourage supporters to do the needful.
