Do not just rush to condemn. The market officer indicated that the market had run out of money NOT that Admarc had run out of money. Admarc markets are scattered across the country in very remote areas with huge security risks. Admarc has to fund such markets with amounts that should minimise risks. For a market to run out of money at some point during crop purchase is normal.

The president has no clue about what is happening in the country and that’s he makes pronouncements that can’t be followed through. In any case no one listens to him any more. Not in his own party and not in the government. He has condemned castigation and vilification of political leaders in the opposition and yet his won party leaders do the opposite. He has instructed that Admarcc buys nandolo from farmers and Admarc won’t implement the instruction under the disguise that there is no money. There is no way this would have happened under Kamuzu.
