This is a national,, govt has to engage communities to reafforestation exercise in all catchment areas. Our friends in north Africa are managing.. they are building/planting a wall 15 km wide forest accross the continent. It is possible. otherwise we will keep on crying and loosing pple year in year out.

Now I want to address oil drilling companies, most of whom are foreigners and don’t understand our little Malawi very well. Supposing you drill your on shore oil on those flood plains. Supposing saboteurs had damaged oil pipes and caused spill. Where would that spillage end up to? Lake Malawi or not?!! And then let that happen year on year for years.

Please don’t cause further Malawi suffering. No oil drilling anywhere near the lake.
