Football Legends Association passes financial health check with flying colours

Football Legends Association boss Jim Kalua is celebrating after his organisation sailed through an audit with flying colours.

Clean sweep for FLA as auditors sign off on K11.47 million surplus

The seal of approval came at the FLA’s Annual General Meeting, held at Lilongwe’s Crossroads Hotel, before officials toasted the occasion with a glitzy gala dinner at the Bingu International Conference Centre.

The numbers: Auditors revealed the association banked a K11.47 million surplus on total revenue of K165 million for the year to June 30, 2026.

No red flags: Inspectors gave an unqualified opinion — auditor-speak for a clean sweep — finding no scope limitations, no material errors, and nothing serious enough to threaten the FLA’s ability to keep operating.

General Secretary and Legal Counsel Gomezgani Solomon Mchawi joined Kalua in presenting the reports to members.
