This is a very sad moment for Nyerere family. George needs to be remembered in football circles as one of the longest football serving football administrators at Lali Lubani. I hope the gap left will be filled with an equally able and professional administrator. However, after George has been laid to rest we don’t want any mishaps and mudslinging in the nomads family, that’s my advice.

May His soul rest in peace, as all of us Malawians mourn our football asset. But unlike all Nyasa stories, I personably find this article mean on the profile of this great player. While I commend the tributes from clubs, it’s time to hear more about his story: when he was born, school life, how he went into football, what family survives him, what trophies he won, how many goals he scored, and et cetra.
