While some may recommend the establishment of fathers groups to fill the gaps in boys created by mother groups’ focus on girl child, this development could be a conducive strategy for maintaining the old-aged gender polars between men and women. What will fathers socialise boys on gender equality and what do mother groups tell girls on gender equality? Creating different platforms for boys and girls promote hegemonic gender inequality more than anticipated. We need a single platform where men and women can learn to co-exist as equal partners in promoting girls and boys education.
