It is both outrageou and shameful for the Muthalika’s corrupt and tribalistic regime that has let the death of a young and innocent Malawian for simple reason that there was no anti rabies drugs in this 21st century.Malawians must now comprehend that electing a leader of the same tribe or affiliation,is terminal and detrimental to peoples’life and health.In Malawi today,you have to be the son or daughter of the President,Minister,Party leader,rich individual so on and so forth to get prompt and decent treatment..Bingu Wa Muthalika was taken to a South African Clinic while was already in the hands of a… Read more »

This is it…Malawi after 53 years of independence. We still cannot afford the basics. The statistics I got on rabies in Malawi are shocking. In Blantyre alone, 60 people are bitten by dogs every month. Countrywide, 30% of the people are connected to someone who is battling rabies. 90% per cent of rabies patients die and usually attributed to some causes rather than rabies so the problem is suppressed. We have no functional laws that protect humans from vicious dogs in the country. People keep dogs at will and no one checks whether they are vaccinated or not. No penalties… Read more »
