Self-proclaimed born-again musician, Armstrong Kalua, has revealed that his upcoming album will feature world’s top gospel artists Kirk Franklin, Hillsong, Jesus Culture and Sipho Makhabane.

He announced this on his Facebook page before confirming in an interview with Nyasa Times on Thursday.

Said he: “After releasing my three singles, I’ve decided to name my album ‘Worship Core’.”

“Worship Core simply means worship mixed with strings and guitars. So my album will be a worship album,” explained Armstrong.

He also disclosed the album will have 10 to 12 songs, which some were co-written by him and renowned Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, who is funding the project.

According to Armstrong, he is leaving the country next week going overseas where he will finish recording the album.

“Everything is set, am leaving next week going to UK and RSA to finish my records,” he said.

Asked which studios he will be recording, Armstrong said Prophet Bushiri had decided to keep it a secret because he wanted to surprise him.

“But he [Bushiri] told me he has set studios of high standards,” claimed the Malawian singer, while indicating Kirk Franklin and the other artists he was going to work with were Bushiri’s personal friends.

Meanwhile, the singer said he was taking the opportunity to have such world class musicians on his album as a great feat.

“God has really surprised me for He promised long ago through other men of God, now it has come to pass, this is a great achievement.

“I promise the best ever to my fans like never before for God has lifted me up,” said Armstrong, who also revealed he would be shooting ‘Higher Higher’ video in Hilton, UK.

Armstrong, one of the country’s great vocalists, switched to gospel music two months ago after quitting the record label Nde’feyo Entertainment.
