Certainly a step in the right direction. But what about tackling the cause of all these accidents? The roads themselves are inferior and conducive to accidents. Also the drivers themselves need further education on how to drive safely. It would also help if there were more signs to warn of speeding and overtaking. This is very stupid! work on the condition of roads first. The roads are a death trap. Treat and fix the cause and not the symptoms

The LL-BT section of the M1 is indeed a death trap. Every time I reach my destination after using this section I thank heavens. The road is busy with all sorts of users but small and rough edged.
My plea to govt is to seriously consider adding overtaking lanes alternating every 2km so that those in a hurry know where they will be free to do the overtaking. Go and study how the South Africans did it on N1 road.

How about fixing the roads? Make them wider and fix potholes! Bad roads are the main cause of these accidents and the response is buying ambulances? This is kind of backward thinking. Sooner or later you will say there’s no fuel to run these ambulances just like the generator-gate.. Really stupid!

Really stupid and foolish setting of course. It’s like making lots of mortuaries in preventing the overcrowding of carcasses in hospitals instead of buying effective drugs and medical apparatus!!!!!
