I would like to understand how the courts arrive at their decisions in passing judgment. There was this woman who stole millions if not billions. She was only given 3 years and others have been given 10 years for stealing billions and this man is given 7 years? I don’t condone what he has done but this confirms what people says that is often the poor who face the wrath of the courts. Would you please reconsider the for this man. It is unreasonable. Don’t be emotional in sentencing people,

7 years for this offence is okay. You should not look at the amount involved bu rather the futures of the boys and girls he destroyed. My understanding is some students did not write exams while others wrote fewer subjects simply because this man decided to pocket exam fees. Imagine it was you not writing exams because of this theft. Imagine its 10 students.

The point Kwacha is making is that whilst K1.8million might have destroyed young peoples lives, the fact of the matter the billions that others embezzled destroyed even more peoples lives. In fact million of people have been left destitute because of the billion of kwacha embezzled; therefore a harsher sentence was well deserved.

Infact the billions of Kwacha the late mbava lady he has made reference to, although not mentioned her name stole, affected a lot of people including some dying in hospitals. You are right aPhiri.
