How they stand in Malawi TNM Super League

As Malawi TNM Super League nears the end and enters week 24, 420 goals have been scored from 170 games with Blue Eagles being the highest scoring team in the elite league.

While 427  cards–18 red cards and 409 yellow cards– have so far been flashed by the men in black.

Blue Eagles are the highest scoring team while rookies Karonga United who are yet to win away and Chikwawa United are teams which have let in the most goals (46 goals each).

Big Bullets, who now topping the log table following their 4-1 win over Chikwawa United on Saturday, have the most water tight defence having let in 16 goals. Epac F.C have drawn the most (10 games).

Blantyre United, Chikwawa United and Karonga United are still relegation candidates.

Leading on the scorers sheet is Moyale Barracks’ forward Deus Nkutu with 16 goals, followed by Kumbukani Mwambene of Red Lions with 12 goals; Airborne Rangers’ Asedi Ayami and Moyale Barracks Gastin Simkonda have 11 goals each; Mafco FC’s Calisto Kalinda 10 goals; with 9 goals are Kamuzu Barracks’ Kelvin Hanganga and Azam Tigers’ Bright Munthali; Micium Mhone, Charles Ngozi (both Blues Eagles) and Airborne’s Leonard Mgemezulu have 8 goals each.

With 7 goals are Isaac Kaliyati of Azam Tigers, Karonga United’s Raphael Phiri, Schumacher Kuwali and John Malidadi Jnr (both Blue Eagles); while Vincent Nyangulu and Jabulani Linje (Civo United), Peter Katsonga (Azam Tigers), Jimmy Zakazaka (Big Bullets), Peter Wadabwa (Silver Strikers), John Banda (Blue Eagles) and Jafalie Chande (Big Bullets) have all bagged six goals.
