This silly man, Kachali is still thinking the old way when Malawi did not have Councillors. Development work is for Councillors while MPs are responsible for making laws – so don’t mix the two. If you get involved in development work, what will the Councillor do? MPs were combining law-making and development work in the absence of Councillors, not now anymore. It is important to know the job description of an MP in modern Malawi.

Mr Kachali, please just sit down if you plan to stand on DPP ticket as you wont beat that guy standing on MCP ticket. Mark my words.

Malawi is definitely still shallow where a whole MP is proud of building bridges, classrooms blocks and sinking boreholes as successes. This is as far as politicians can visualise. If MP’s can’t dream beyond building a small bridge and sukulu ya zidina then Malawi isn’t going anywhere. It like we are stuck with political leaders without vision and incapable of dreaming big. May the good Lord have mercy on Malawi.
