IFMIS has been audited to death and I believe all the deficiencies and recommendations provided by RMS (barker tilly) were presented to the control owners to address. The control owner being the Accountant General. Who is tracking the progress of remediating the gaps and what was the agreed timeline to fix these issues? If the system controls are still rubbish, what are the compensating business controls in place to mitigate the issues? I am guessing none. All systems are prone for leakages, it takes people’s integrity to manage them. So here IFIMIS or whatever you call is not a problem but individuals managing it. Clean up the mess please, Malawi kuchititsa manyazi.

This is a sick nation. What is the role of Computer Science graduate from Poly and Chanco? This only shows the country is still behind with its tertiary education. We have graduate are just good at stealing government money in the name of cash gate. The country has young people with Bachelors, Masters and PhDs in Computer Science but all failing to help their country in having a good software to be used by the government. This is shameful
