Chilima thought he’ll shine within the lomwe party where tribalism is celebrated. There’s a say “we attract who we are. He needs to do a lot of soul searching in the light of this hideous regime where the status quo wants to surpress his potential to led. Learning servant leadership begins in the wilderness where you are overlooked by foes. DPP crones are insecure of his unpredictability that’s why he remains on the bench with cosmetic roles.

Saulosi Chilima was spotted and offered to be APMs running mate because he was young and DPP wanted to counter the influence that youthful AM had.

Its sad that he is part of what has become an underperforming admistration charasterised by vices such as corruption, nepotism, blackouts to mention but a few.

He is a vice president confined to disaster management affairs, a thing he has performed well. DPP leadership has politically confined hs full potential. Infact, they just used him to win 2014 elections.

Chilima has no executive position in DPP till todate.

”As a Veep, his energies are limited by how much room he is given to manoeuvre. He is a vice, perhaps often acting on instruction and in a delegated capacity, and providing advice, which can be taken or ignored”

I like that part, well written.

The works of this young man has persuaded critiques of anything DPP like me to start believing in him.

The only mistake he made was to join DPP. Let him lead a breakaway faction from DPP. Surely he can manage to pull some support as well from those that feel unhappy with Chakwera’s timid politics in MCP and could surprise both DPP and MCP next year.

But he has to decide quick. Malawians are too slow to absorb matters. The longer it takes for him to decide, the more he is missing out on the opportunity.
