Mr Msowoya, why are you saying this as if you are doing women a favour. Women deserve to be in political leadership positions not because you’re doing them a favour or paving way fro them but rather because they’re capable.
I am in favour of women taking up leadership positions in whatever capacity those positions are even if all members of parliament were women in this country I wouldn’t surely mind at all but that the assessment should not be based on fulfilment of 50-50 campaign – bola kukwaniritsa manambalawo NO. Unfortunately campaigners in this country have relied heavily on the total population of women which they say is bigger than that of men that is why they believe women representation should be increased. Richard Msowoya might have read the temperatures in Nyungwe and knows that his popularity has drastically decreased. This is a way of saying ‘I may not be voted back into power, let me pave way for others’.

Shame to Msowoya: this is only a way for him to give up the running mate fight against Mia, at the MCP convention. And, by doing so, Msowoya is handing the job to Mia on the platter.
I had more respect before for Msowoya as a fighter politician.

if they stand on there own and win so much the better, why worry? But these women should not just be given positions just because they are women, they have to prove themselves. the best we can do is to level the playing field not tokenism.
