There is a way to borrow less but get more development projects through Build Own Operate (BOP) projects under the PPP initiative. Please allow private sector do road, power, water and other infrastructure projects under these schemes.

Bvuto, the current government is not licencing such projects from investors because they want a 10% down payment (Corruption). No serious investors will allow to pay such illegal under the table commissions.

This is what is delaying Kamwamba coal power, Salima-Lilongwe Water pipeline, Mchinji-Lilongwe-Balaka railway and many others

NOT SURE OF THE EXAMPLES GIVEN BUT DO SALUTE YOU ON YOUR APPRECIATION OF THE PPP INITIATIVE.
‘THE EXTRA SET OF EYES’ HAVE NOTED THAT VERY LITTLE IS TREKKING DOWN TO THE GUY PICTURED ABOVE HENCE HIS UTTERANCES – THERE’S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT HE IS SAYING AND THINKING!! AND THE FUNNY PART IS THE WARNING, HE IS ACTUALLY WARNING US TO SAY, ‘IF NOTHING IS TREKKING DOWN TO ME THEN WE’LL STOP THE LOANS’ – HE IS PLAYING IT SMART!!
