very sad and i couldn’t believe it at first, i was with him on sunday in Songani where Hon Atupele had a rally, we had a big hug and a talk for minutes not knowing that it was a good bye. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Eish this is a huge and painful loss guys. I liked Loyd’s simple English speaking when he would present any item on Joy radio. He was a man full of information and wisdom.
My sincere condolences to the Zawanda family. We will all sadly miss this great man

This is so sad. I was one of his fans especially for his press review programme. May his soul rest in peace

This is tragic death of the veteran journalist. He was dedicated to his work at Joy and he run Joy as his own media house. Partly, this could be because of pressure. Muluzi never paid his staff for more than ten months and all the pressure from fellow staff and creditors was going to Mr Zawanda. Muluzi knows how much Mr Zawanda suffered from people looking for their money which Muluzi even Atupere never cared. Malawi has lost the real man in the media industry and this may lead to complete closure of Joy Station.
