Malawi’s former leader was leading a team of 35 trained AU observers from various African countries.

Since her arrival in that country on October 20, she has been meeting different electoral stakeholders such as presidential candidates and leaders of political parties.

According to BBC , she will be at the 28 October  conference in London focusing on the power of women – those who have changed the world around them and inspired others to do the same – where she will be keynote speaker.

Among those joining Banda will be Prof Lesley Yellowlees, the first woman president of Britain’s Royal Society of Chemistry in its 171 year history.

Designers, doctors, businesswomen, human rights defenders, social aid activists, bloggers, footballers, economists, actresses, comedians, novelists, photographers and many others will also be taking part.

Banda has been away from Malawi for more than a month attending various personal and official engagements in United States of America (USA) and the United Kingdom (UK).

Not the Kaliatis who think that by talking nonsence at meetings they are popular anthu akamasekelera. Osekelera zonena za kaliati tiziadabwa.

The woman spoke and the entire auditorium was shaken. We Malawians started walking tall, we got congratulations from left and right. Zinazo… Read more »
