International Agricultural group, Stoller has joined forces with the Joyce Banda International Foundation (JBIF) in assisting small, subsistence farmers all over the African Continent.

The historical agreement was signed on 10 November 2014 in Johannesburg between Craig Whitlock , Director of Stoller Africa and Joyce Banda, Founder of the Foundation and former president of Malawi.

The five year initiative will start immediately and will be rolled out in ten Sub-Saharan African Countries including Zambia, Malawi, South Africa, Kenya and Mozambique.

The objective of the joint venture is to provide agricultural education to woman and children, access to Stoller’s advance crop health technology that will enable these local growers to produce higher yields resulting in income generating activities

Banda is a champion for the rights of woman, children, the disabled and other marginalised groups.

Her foundation’s motto is: “Putting money in the pockets of the poor”. It is based in Washington, USA and has already reached 400 000 woman with its empowerment programmes and started several schools and orphan care centres in Malawi.

The JBIF has launched its Village Transformation Initiative a few years ago with the main focus on agricultural programs to help small farmers with input materials such as seeds and fertilizers as well as training. This programme will benefit greatly from the newly forged partnership with Stoller.

“It is my conviction that this partnership would impact Africa, model sustainability and contribute to food security on the continent,” said Banda after signing the agreement.

The Stoller Group, based in Houston, Texas has opened its first African office in Mbombela, South Africa in March this year. Its production facility in the city will also be operational soon.

Stoller is active in 70 countries with research, development and distribution of unique products for plant performance meant to increase yield quality and sizing through balanced plant nutrition.

The company also carries a conventional, yet advanced line of fertilizers and micronutrients.

Problem with malawians is they lack chosen idea, chosen a leader is not by pity… When ever you make wrong choices you will pay for it i think this is paying time… 2019 Malawians have to think very well before chosen.
