If the government doesnt have money to increase the salaries of the support staff then where did the money they they paid the magistrates and judges for house allowances came from? Why only increasing the salaries for the judicial officers and not including the support staff? Thts not fair

The striking workers should have there salaries frozen until such a time when they decide to resume work.Why should they get paid for nothing?

Government: Don’t give in to these hostage situations created by wild cat strikes, like this one. Change the law so that strikers get paid, if at all, from their unions’ strike funds; not by the employer. Overzealous Muluzi messed us up by enacting the existing labor laws in his first term post-dictatorship: that NOT so well informed or educated Muluzi. Why should employers pay strikers when they render no service?
