K9 million raised from Sunday Super League games
The three TNM Super League games over the weekend on Sunday raised K9 million with the game involving Big Bullets and Blue Eagles raising a lot of money followed by Silver Strikers against Epac FC encounter in Lilongwe.
The other game involved Mighty Be Forward Wanderers against Dedza Young Soccer at Kalulu Stadium.
The three games raised K9, 075,070 gross gate collections.
Sulom treasure Tiya Somba Banda disclosed that the game between Big Bullets and Blue Eagles at Kamuzu Stadium raised K5, 046,360 gross gate collections.
Banda said that each club pocketed K792, 766 while Sulom and FAM went home with K317,106 each.
Sports Council received K158,553, while K792,766 was for ground levy.
In a game involving Epac FC and Silver Strikers at Civo Stadium, it raised K2, 129,090 with each club pocketing K415, 763, while Sulom and FAM went home with K166, 305 each.
Sports Council received K83, 152, while K415, 763 was for ground levy.
Banda said the game between Mighty Be Forward Wanderers and Dedza Young Soccer at Kalulu Stadium raised K1,899,620 with each club getting K386, 186.
He said Sulom and Fam went home with K154, 474 each, while Sports Council got K77, 237. K386,186 was for ground levy.
This is very encouraging but try to improve the systems of ticket sales so that you can tighten the loop holes for people to steal the money. Otherwise bravo I like transparency.
