Jessy, leave this trash called politics and go back to academia. Your reasoning can’t match with that of MCP leadership. The leadership there is used to preaching in church where people can’t say “Pose a bit pastor, what do you mean by ….? How did this happen? How applicable is this to our contemporary world?” …and so on and so forth. The leadership there has the mentality of atsogoleri ndi milungu yachiwiri, no wonder doesn’t respect MCP constitution. Madam, you have seen what MCP is all about. What more if they take over government? Don’t waste your time. Inu mumafuna transparency. There’s none in MCP. Go to UTM. You are welcome. And you will win your seat. If you don’t want UTM then go solo. Stand as independent. You will also won that way. Otherwise mufera u diehard.
MCP got 2 and DPP 3 in Salima in 2014. I can see UTM taking all 5 this time. MCP is rotten to the call. They want to impose candidates and it always backfires. DPP inatha kale

Just run as an Independent, Jessica, and then when you win go back to the MCP on your Terms and Conditions. You will have even greater bargaining power with your party. The 2019 elections will be a bruising battle and the largest party in Parliament will have a slim majority. We may even have a winning President whose party is in the minority. Independents will have bigger bargaining chips in legislation. MARK MY WORDS!!! Interesting times are but a coming….

Peter didn’t fail at MoE. Academic freedom was nothing but political. APM has substance and intellect. He avoided to take sides or be used in the chancol saga. Also he couldn’t interfere with the president then
It seems MCP has lost direction. From the look of things 2019 DPP is winning again and do not cry foul because there has ben a lot of negative stories about MCP and how it has conducted itself. If you can not resolve party issues, will you be able to deal with national issues?
