Sure, Malawians are now enjoying many freedoms, including freedom of expression and association. Ms. Kabwila-Kapasula must find that fact hard to swallow, in view of the fact it’s not her party that ushered in the era of freedoms. In stark contrast to the bad, old days of Kamuzu and MCP’s dictatorship. Many Malawians remember those days, or have been told about the events: and that is why people are hesitant to give MCP another chance at governing.
