Corruption at Road Traffic is Too High.
K10,000 for every COF document goes into the pockets of Officers at Road Traffic. They do not hide or fear anything. Easy as nobody`s bussines – Working at their personal Institution.

That some police officers are corrupt is no longer a debate, what we may debate is what is being done to reduce the rate of this corruption. Corruption is two fold, if citizens are not responsible, the fight against corruption is non-starter. We have ably cultivated a fertile environment for our officers to be corrupt. In fact its the citizens who start the corruption, and the officers just nod. However the bottom line is that corruption is destructive in short and long terms. It is a true story about these begging guys in KA. On 17th June, they stopped me for an offence of over speeding at Ipyana just after the bridge as I was heading to Lilongwe. When I came out of the vehicle, they told me that I have exceeded speed to 55kmph therefore we have to discuss. I did not enter into the requested discussion but paid K5.5 thousand.
