Trouble is that MEC let the cat out of the bag by associating 2019 voting with ID registration. I agree people must register in large numbers but it will be necessary to carry out voter registration in accordance with the law. MEC must emphasize that prospective voters for 2029 elections will have to register and that the National ID will make it easier for citizens to register. Only the Voter Registration Card and, in no way, the National ID should be used for voting. This is so because not all eligible voters will have obtained National IDs by the voting… Read more »

Because of CORRUPTION this ID card will not be alright. Malawians corrupted chiefs and officiels will give ID Cards to foreigners. They do with citizenship so it is easy for the card. Its good for Zambia all Zambians had to have green ID CARD after indepedence. To day no one can get Zambia Card by corruption. Zambians are proud and partriotic about their nation. Not Malawians. Kwakulilila Kuba. So they dont care If they sell their land to an Asian for 50 000 or 500 000. Cheap money. There are many Pakistanians living illegal it will be their chance to… Read more »

On DPP winning in 2019…

that’s true, especially with our tribal politics, as Steve Nhlane has said in the other article.

But then even as you cling, “nganganga pambuyo pa DPP”…, the South has now become the countrys poorest region…Thats rather funny!!! BT of old has recently been declared to be “dead”… so, yeah, continue voting for your poverty.
