Kinnah’s Mbeya fail to keep winning momentum
Mbeya City Council FC coached by Malawian Kinnah Phiri spoiled an opportunity to get out of the middle of the table in Tanzania Mainland League after losing to Mtibwa Stars 1-0 on Monday.

The loss washed away Mbeya’s impeccable 2-1 win last week over hot title contenders and defending champions Young Africans.
The former Malawi national football team coach’s team handed Yanga only their second loss midway through the season.
The loss has made them stagnant on position seven with 19 points from 15 games.
Mtibwa have leafrogged Mbeya to perch on sixth position with 19 points from 15 games.
League leaders saw their lead cut to two points after succumbing to their first league loss at the hands of struggling Africa Lyon.
The victory lifted African Lyon to position 10 with 17 points.
It was not only the leaders who suffered shocking results as Stand United dropped two steps on the table to fifth position having lost to Ndanda 2-1.
Ndanda’s victory has lifted them to position 9.
